Ashley Fuller Olsen was born June 13, 1986 in Los Angeles, CA. She began her career at the age of nine months, working alongside twin sister Mary-Kate in "Full House." The twins were hired in 1987 to play Michelle Tanner and took turns playing the role in order to comply with child labor laws.

Michelle's character endeared America to the twins, and soon they began appearing in movies like "To Grandmother's House We Go" and "Double, Double, Toil and Trouble." After "Full House" ended in 1995, the pair went on to star in several straight-to-video movie series, including "The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley" and "You're Invited To Mary-Kate and Ashley's...".

As the twins grew older, they starred in the ABC and ABC Family shows "Two of a Kind" and "So Little Time." The Olsen twins were by this point household names and had their faces pictured all over clothes, books and magazines.

Ashley has dabbled in the fashion industry alongside her twin sister. The two started Wal-Mart clothing line when they were younger. In 2006, they moved on to collaborate with the more upscale line Badgley Mischka. They have also released The Row, a high-end line, together that reflects their personal style. The expensive clothing is sold at retailers like Barneys, Maxfield, etc. In fall of 2007, they launched the more contemporary collection "Elizabeth & James." The line contains vintage and personal pieces. Despite mostly being seen as fashionable, Ashley has been criticized by PETA for her wearing of fur.

Ashley filed a lawsuit worth $40 million against the "National Enquirer" tabloid for publishing a story that accused her of being involved in a drug scandal. In more recent years, the twins have urged the media to see them separately, rather than as "the Olsen twins." Ashley is currently dating Justin Bartha ("National Treasure").
