Net Worth: $210000000

Dwayne Johnson, also known by his wrestling name The Rock, is a semi-retired professional wrestler who has shifted into the world of acting. He has been widely acclaimed as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. The popularity of his wrestling character permitted him to cross over into mainstream pop culture fairly easily. He began acting with guest roles on many popular television shows and then made the leap to the big screen. After much financial success in both the wrestling world and in Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson now has an estimated net worth of over $220 million.

Johnson made his wrestling debut in 1996 and went on to be part of the WWF until he retired in 2004. During these 8 years he was named the World Wrestling Federation Champion 9 times. He was the star of many events including multiple Wrestlmania events and Summer Slams. He also made random appearances in WWE shows from time to time. During his 8 year stint in professional wrestling he raked in an estimated $19 million.

In 2002 Johnson took a brief hiatus from wrestling to shoot his first starring role in the movie, The Scorpion King. At the time he was paid $5.5 million for the role, making him the highest-paid actor ever in their first starring role. In 2003 Johnson brought in $12.5 million from his role in the hit movie, The Rundown, and in 2004 he earned a whopping $15 million from starring in the film Walking Tall.

From 2005 to 2010 Johnson took odd jobs here and there and was part of several unsuccessful movies. He also guest starred on shows like Disney Channelís Corey in the House, but he had no major roles until 2011 when he was cast in the fifth film of The Fast and the Furious series as Luke Hobbs. He was chosen for the role after the filmís star, Vin Diesel, received numerous comments from fans that they would like to see Diesel and Johnson in a movie together. Fast Five grossed nearly $90 million, the biggest opening for one of Johnsonís movies. He made a staggering $32.6 million from his salary and bonus earnings from the film. He also returned to the wrestling ring in late 2011.

Johnson made no major movies, but still raked in a cool $36 million from previous acting gigs and wrestling royalties in 2012. On December 16, 2013 Forbes magazine named Johnson as the top-grossing actor of the year. His films brought in $1.3 billion in 2013, credited majorly to his recurring role as Luke Hobbs in The Fast and The Furious 6 which grossed $789 million alone. This coupled with his $5 million salary from the WWE and $1 million worth of endorsements brought him to an unbelievable $46 million in earnings for 2013.

This year, Forbes estimated Johnsonís earnings to be $52 million. His starring role in the G.I. Joe franchise as well as reprising his role in the Fast and the Furious series has skyrocketed Johnson to number 23 on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list for 2014.

Over the years Johnson has also invested in a number of assets. He owns a 1971 Chevelle SS that is worth an estimated $40,000. He also owns to gorgeous multi-million dollar properties. One is located in Beverly Hills, California. The magnificent mansion is worth $4.9 million dollars. His other pricey pad is a $3.4 million dollar mansion located in Miami, Florida.

Whether Dwayne Johnson is fighting in the wrestling ring, endorsing products, or starring in major motion pictures, he is pulling in some serious cash. Considering he has been a public figure since the mid 1990ís, it is astounding that his earnings are continuing to grow by leaps and bounds every year.
