Kevin Earl Federline was born on March 21, 1978 in Fresno, California. He is most widely known for his relationship to Shar Jackson and marriage to Britney Spears. His parents, Mike and Julie, were a car mechanic and a former bank teller. He has one brother named Chris.

When he was eight years old, his parents divorced and at age eleven he moved back in with his father in Fresno. He began dancing at a fairly early age and dropped out of school in the ninth grade to begin dancing with a non-profit organization, Dance Empowerment. He eventually earned his GED.

Once his dancing career took off, he worked as a back-up dancer for stars such as Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Pink, Britney Spears and Christina Milian.

Federline became involved in a relationship with Shar Jackson and they had two kids together, a daughter Kori born in 2002 and son Kaleb born in 2004. Shortly before Kaleb's birth in 2004, the two separated and he became involved with pop princess Britney Spears. After three months of dating, Federline and Spears announced their engagement in July of 2004. They were married in September of 2004 in a surprise ceremony held at a house in Studio City, California.

Spears gave birth to their first son, Sean Preston Federline in September of 2005. Their second son, Jayden James Federline, was born in September of 2006.

The couple separated shortly after, with Spears filing for divorce on November 7 of 2006, claiming irreconcilable differences and requesting legal and physical custody of both of the boys. A divorce settlement was reached in March of 2007 and became finalized at the end of July.

Federline gained sole physical custody of the kids in October of 2007 and in January 2008, Spears made headlines after refusing to return their sons to Federline and locking herself in a bathroom with Jayden. She was escorted from the home by ambulance and taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical. It was this event that gave Federline sole legal and physical custody of the boys, with Spears to eventually regain some visitation rights.

After his marriage to Spears, he attempted to make it in the rap world, releasing two singles "Y'all Ain't Ready" and "PopoZao" - both which received terrible critical acclaim. He released his first album, "Playing with Fire" in October of 2006, also receiving poor reviews and terrible sales.

Spears and Federline tried their hand at reality television in 2005 with the show "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic" that show home videos filmed by the couple. In 2004, he had a small role in the movie "You Got Served." He has also guest starred on "CSI," "Las Vegas" and has had a recurring role on "One Tree Hill."

He is currently said to be dating ex-volleyball player Victoria Prince.
