Elizabeth Hurley Quits Movies For Son

Elizabeth Hurley is quitting acting for her son. The ex-girlfriend of Hugh Grant insists that she is giving up doing films because she can't be a mother and actress at the same time.

The 42-year-old model-turned-actress says she's doing the sacrifice for her 5-year-old son Damian Charles. She says, "Filming is very hard with a child, and I found I wasn't able to be a good mom and do movies."

"I really do very little film work at all. I decided I couldn't really do movies any more, which was a huge decision because I love making movies."

Damian, who was born on April 4, 2002, is Hurley's child with film director Stephen Bing. The multi-millionaire director used to deny his involvement with the child, which prompted Hurley to have Damian undergo a paternity test. The DNA test proved Bing is the father.

Hurley adds, "But I didn't want to be the sort of mother who was abroad filming all the time and away from my son and I didn't want to take Damian out of school to travel with me and be educated by tutors."
