Dannii Minogue Set To Get Engaged

Dannii Minogue is set to get engaged. The star has flown to her native Australia to surprise her boyfriend, British former rugby player Kris Smith, but he is said to be planning an even bigger surprise for her - by asking her to be his wife with a huge diamond ring.

A friend of Dannii's said: "It's going to be a trip full of shockers."

Dannii, 37, is flying back especially for Kris' catwalk debut, after he landed a number of modeling contracts, and hopes to shock him by getting a front row seat.

Friends say she told Kris she wouldn't be able to see him before the start of the latest series of UK talent show "The X Factor" - on which Dannii is a judge and talent mentor.

Kris is expected to bring his proposal forward from the end of the month as planned when she arrives.

Danni has previously admitted she is ready to get engaged to the 29-year-old hunk, saying: "I think I'm looking at nesting this year... know what I mean?"

Dannii arrived at London's Heathrow airport yesterday wearing skinny biker jeans, towering heels and a leather bomber jacket, before setting off on her surprise trip. She is also expected to rest up before she is due back in England to host 'The X Factor' live finals next month.
