Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Criticized For Being Too Shallow

October 27, 2009

Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop is shallow, according to Hindu statesman Rajan Zed. The Hollywood star's lifestyle newsletter, which claims to promote nourishment of the inner aspect, allegedly caters to the outside.

The latest edition of Goop encourages readers to eat from "gourmet taco trucks" and suggests places to eat in Los Angeles.

She wrote: "I spent most of last spring and summer in Los Angeles doing lots of work and eating some incredible foodÂ… from the new phenomenon of the gourmet taco truck, to the tucked away neighborhood spots to the latest Suzanne GoinÂ… the L.A. food is quietly and unpretentiously on fuego."

Zed has criticized Paltrow's blog for allegedly being too materialistic and indulging in mundane things and shallow substances that deal with temporal and external pleasures. He was particularly not impressed with the website's slogan, "nourish the inner aspect," as he thinks it caters mostly to "outer."

He further stated that there were not many deep spiritual and philosophical thoughts in it, which are essential parts of "nourishing" the inner self.

While Paltrow did not get a positive review from the acclaimed Indo-American statesman, she may count on a helping hand from him. Zed offers his assistance to the actress if she asks for it.
