Jamie Kennedy Proposes To Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jamie Kennedy asked Jennifer Love Hewitt to marry him live on stage. The "Ghost Whisperer" actress - who began dating her co-star earlier this year - was thrilled when the actor spontaneously got down on one knee and proposed during his performance at California's Laugh Factory in Long Beach on Saturday night.

Comedian Jamie had been performing for over two hours when he asked Jennifer to join him on stage and the audience convinced him to propose.

An onlooker said: "Jamie pulled Jennifer up to tell jokes and sing. Someone yelled out, 'Marry her!' and Jamie got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes even though he didn't have a ring. They got a standing ovation."

Jennifer recently revealed she was keen to wed Jamie and had given him a deadline to propose.

The 30-year-old brunette beauty said in May: "A timeline? By this time next year, if we're not planning something, then there's a situation." Jennifer and Jamie, 39, met on the set of 'Ghost Whisperer' in 2007.

They began dating soon after the actress split from her fiance Ross McCall.

Jennifer has previously revealed she has been happier than ever since she began romancing Jamie.

She said: "We just make each other laugh and we're best friends. Even though we haven't been together for very long we are very much alike. The fact he is so hilarious is what makes this relationship work. He is a realist and I am a dreamer."
