Jessica Simpson Thought She Was "Hallucinating" During Japanese Earthquake

August 11, 2009

Jessica Simpson feared she was "hallucinating" when she was caught in an earthquake. The singer-and-actress was in Japan to film her new reality TV show "The Price of Beauty" when the ground was rocked by the tremor, which measured 6.6 on the Richter Scale.

She wrote on her Twitter page: "Thought I was hallucinating. I have never felt anything like this in my life. Laying in bed watching CNN [sic]."

The earthquake hit Japan's Suruga Bay at 5:07am local time on Tuesday, and although it caused no damage or casualties a tsunami warning was issued.

Jessica wasn't the only star to be left shaken by the event.

Beyonce Knowles and her sister Solange were also in the country, and felt the earth move.

Solange wrote on Twitter: "My sister said she was scared out of her mind and calling my mom and I was snoring."

Jessica is shooting her new series in several different locations across the globe.

In the shows, the 29-year-old star will investigate what women will do to be considered beautiful.
