Katie Price Says She Did Not Want To Split From Peter Andre

Katie Price would never have split from Peter Andre if the decision was hers. The British glamour model denies she bullied her estranged husband - who, earlier this week, claimed his wife had left him a "shadow" of himself - and admits the end of her "genuine" marriage has left her devastated.

Katie, 31, reportedly told a friend: "Pete was my soulmate. This was his decision not mine. I have always loved him and am absolutely gutted things have got this bad but I have to think of myself and my kids now."

The couple split three weeks ago after three-and-a-half years of marriage, because Peter was upset at pictures of Katie drunkenly flirting with other men and had grown tired of her domineering behavior.

The "Mysterious Girl" singer finished moving house Tuesday and then flew to Hong Kong to promote his latest album.

The 36-year-old star's manager and spokesperson Claire Powell told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Pete wants to remain as amicable as possible and he wants to them to able to go on with their lives."

The couple - who raise three children, Junior, three, 23-month-old Princess Tiaamii and Harvey, seven, who is Katie's son from a previous relationship - are expected to start divorce proceedings soon.
