Madonna Urged By Hindus And Jews To Take Up Cause Of Roma Apartheid

September 2, 2009

Madonna is being urged to take up the cause of the European Roma apartheid. Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed and Jewish leader Rabbi Jonathan B. Freirich said that the pop icon would be an effective spokesperson to raise awareness of the cause.

Madonna was recently booed in Romania when she sympathized with them during her concert in the nation.

Zed and Freirich said in a statement that the star would be very effective in focusing public world opinion over on Roma apartheid. The cause would make Madonna's life more meaningful and would strengthen her spirituality.

If she needed their services in regard to the cause, they are willing to help her.

15 million Roma people reportedly regularly suffer social exclusion, racism, substandard education, joblessness, hostility, rights violations, discrimination, appalling living conditions, and human rights abuse among many others in Europe. It was said to be an undeclared apartheid and it was almost total societal exclusion of Roma.

The two religious leaders added that they are hopeful that Madonna would take up the cause and not stay apathetic to the subject.
