Naomi Watts' 21-Month-Old Son Rushed To The Hospital

April 30, 2009

Naomi Watts' son was rushed to hospital on Tuesday. The "Eastern Promises" actress' 21-month-old son Alexander was taken to hospital with "respiratory problems" but released the next morning.

Naomi's husband Liev Schreiber flew from Los Angeles to New York to be with his wife, missing the premiere of his latest film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in which he plays the character Sabretooth.

On Wednesday Liev's representative Ina Treciokas - referring to Alexander as Sasha, a Russian variation of his name which his parents call him - said: "Sasha got home today and is feeling much better after being hospitalized on Tuesday night with respiratory problems."

Liev and Naomi also have another son, Samuel, who is four months old.

Earlier this week, Liev revealed he was initially jealous of Naomi's success in her acting career, but has now embraced the challenge of living up to his wife and admits his outlook on life has changed since becoming a father.

He said: "As an actor, I think I'd never kind of reached the heights of fame that Naomi had, so when she came into my life it was a real test on our relationship."

"I didn't like that she was bringing all that attention with her and I think I probably blamed her for it in the beginning. But after a while, I acclimated to it and then, of course, Alexander was born and I had to acclimate to it all over again."
