April 11, 2008

Pamela Anderson, Ben Affleck and 'Heroes' actress Hayden Panettiere are heading to the White House.

The trio are among a host of celebrities on the star-studded guest list for the White House Press Correspondents Association Dinner. Also invited are 'Desperate Housewives' actress Marcia Cross, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and 'The Hills' star Lauren Conrad. Scottish comic Craig Ferguson will host the evening.

The annual dinner started in 1920 and is now a highlight of the U.S. President's social calendar. U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney has already confirmed he will be at the star-studded bash on April 26, however, it is not yet known whether current leader George W. Bush will be present.

Previous guests have included singer Sheryl Crow, model Petra Nemcova and British comedian Eddie Izzard.
