Prince Harry To Make His First Official Visit To The U.S.

Britain's Prince Harry will make his first official visit to the United States next month. The 24-year-old royal - who has a huge following in America thanks to his hard-partying reputation and eventful love life - is set to fly to New York where he will take part in a charity polo match.

The Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic will take place on the city's historic Governors Island on May 30.

Tickets are expected to sell out within hours, with the proceeds going to help Harry's charity for African orphans, Sentebale.

Aisha Thompson, Veuve Clicquot Senior Brand Manager: "We look forward to providing spectators with an afternoon of sport and entertainment surrounded by the magnificent Manhattan skyline."

"This year, we are also pleased to be supporting an incredible and inspirational charity, American Friends of Sentebale."

There will be a lavish party held after the match and Harry is expected to make an appearance.

Although the full itinerary is yet to be decided, it is thought Harry will visit several charity projects in the area as well as Ground Zero, where he will pay his respects to those who lost their lives in the September 11 terrorist attacks.

A source said: "The trip is in the early stages of planning but it is hoped Prince Harry will take part in a series of very poignant engagements."

His visit is expected to cause hysteria among many Americans who still have huge admiration for his late mother Princess Diana.

A source told Britain's The Daily Mail newspaper: "It will be madness."
