Singer Robyn Clarifies Comments About Madonna, Claims She Had Fun Touring With The Pop Superstar

Robyn insists she had fun touring with Madonna. The "With Every Heartbeat" singer - who recently revealed she was told not to approach Madonna when she supported her on the European leg of her "Sticky and Sweet" world tour - was thrilled to share the same stage as her idol and loved meeting her.

Robyn told gossip blogger Perez Hilton: "I was super exited to go on tour with Madonna. Contrary to what you might have read it has been fun!"

"I got to know Madonna's production team and they were very helpful. Madonna's management was super cool. When I met her at the end of the tour she was really cool and natural. She even told me she was a fan! It was a very special moment I will never forget."

Robyn also justified her previous comments about why she doesn't want to follow in Madonna's footsteps, explaining she couldn't handle the pressure of being a pop superstar.

She added: "I was asked if I wanted a career like Madonna's and I said no. Only Madonna can be Madonna. It would be sad to try to copy her model."

"Everyone watches her every move. Obviously she can cope with that, but for me that pressure would be a burden."

"I'm from a little country called Sweden where even though a lot of people know me here, I can still go to the store and buy milk in my underwear."
