Taylor Swift meets girl with Down syndrome, cancer after viral campaign

Taylor Swift's always there to support her fans! The Blank Space singer met one of her die-hard fans, 13-year-old Victoria Marsh, after she noticed a viral campaign made by the Dover Police Deparment.

The Police department rallied to help Victoria, who has Down Syndrome and is battling bone cancer, with the video featuring her and her love for Tay Tay with the hopes that the singer would see it and visit her fan.

The Delaware native experienced ankle pain last year and after consulting with the doctor learnt that she was suffering from osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.

Since her diagnosis, she has had her left leg amputated and endured rounds of chemotherapy. However, she still has an undying spirit and a cheerful attitude that inspires the others.

The Dover Police department took it upon themselves to help Swift's superfan meet her idol with a viral video earlier this year. While it got them free tickets to her show, Victoria's doctors wouldn't let her go because she was doing her chemo sessions.

This led to the cops to create another online campaign to try and get Swift to visit Victoria.

And their plan worked! Swift got to know about Victoria and visited her this weekend to make her dream come true.

Victoria's mother Karen Marsh told BuzzFeed News that Victoria’s doctors gave her a special pass to leave the hospital for a few hours, and Swift and her team arranged the meet-up. “It was an incredible and very memorable evening,” Marsh said.
