January 11, 2010 07:09 pm CST

Katharine McPhee, who just released her sophomore album "Unbroken," is set to guest star on NBC's "Community."

She'll be joining the hit comedy for its first episode airing after the Winter Olympics.

"Community," about the unconventional students of a Denver community college, stars "The Soup" host Joel McHale and veteran comedian Chevy Chase. During her guest spot, McPhee would play the daughter of Pierce (Chase) and a possible love interest for main character Jeff (McHale).

"Community" kicks off its mid-season this week with a guest appearance by Jack Black.

McPhee's episode will air in early March, when the show returns from NBC's airing of the Winter Olympics.

Along with showcasing her comedic chops in a new video for Vevo, McPhee will also appear in the romantic comedy "You May Not Kiss the Bride," which releases later this year.

Her new album "Unbroken," featuring the single "Had It All," is in stores now.
