Two Men Arrested For Trying To Burgle Princes William And Harry's House

September 1, 2009

Two men were arrested for trying to burgle Britain's Princes William and Harry's house. The raiders were stunned when they were apprehended within seconds of setting foot on the grounds of the secluded property - which has round-the-clock security protection - as they were unaware of its royal inhabitants.

A security source told Britain's Sun newspaper: "The two men arrested were a bit shocked, to say the least. If you were going to try to break into a house it would be hard to choose one more secure than this. Security is extremely tight."

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "I can confirm that two men were arrested at an unspecified address in Shropshire."

"They were cautioned with conspiracy to commit burglary."

Neither prince is thought to have been at the property at the time but both have reportedly seen "the funny side" of the incident.

William, 27, moved into the property - whose location is kept secret for security reasons - in January when he started helicopter training at RAF Shawbury, Shropshire, with Harry, 24, joining him three months later.
