George Clooney's "Up In The Air" Wins NBR Best Film

George Clooney's latest offering "Up in the Air" has been named Best Film by the National Board of Review. The actor also won Best Actor with Morgan Freeman, who plays Nelson Mandela in "Invictus."

"Up in the Air," based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Walter Kim, follows a corporate downsizer as he meets people along the way.

It also won Best Supporting Actress for Anna Kendrick and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Other winners include Carey Mulligan for Best Actress ("An Education"), Woody Harrelson for Best Supporting Actor ("The Messenger"), and "Up" for Best Animated Feature.

The comedy "It's Complicated," which stars Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin, was named Best Ensemble.

The 2010 NBR Gala will be held at Cipriani's 42nd St. in New York on January 12. Meredith Vieira will be the Mistress of Ceremonies.
